On Saturday, October 19, 2019, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. – Gamma Lambda Chapter will celebrate 100 Years of Service to the Detroit Community at our Centennial Gala, being held at the Detroit Marriott in downtown Detroit Michigan. This celebration will be a formal affair, with an expected attendance of over 600 community leaders. We will celebrate our 13 charter members and honor four stalwarts of our community for their achievement as brothers in our beloved chapter. We would consider it the greatest honor if we could count on you and your support for this noteworthy occasion.
Gamma Lambda’s ultimate goal is to be a beacon of light in our community. As we celebrate our centennial, we will not rest on our laurels. We feel it is our responsibility to do more, and we will do more with your support. Your contribution to the Gamma Lambda Chapter will honor the contributions the chapter has made to various organizations and citizens over the past century.
We are dedicated to supporting the development of future leaders through service. Our programs and initiatives have supported consistent financial contributions to students with more than $425,000 in scholarships, and more than $50,000 to March of Dimes to fight premature birth. In addition to these efforts, we’ve provided consistent support over the years of Meals on Wheels, Coalition on Temporary Shelter (COTS), American Cancer Society – Relay for Life, Gleaner’s Food Bank, Big Brothers, Big Sisters, Boy Scouts of America, United Negro College Fund, and a host of other community focused events. Your sponsorship will allow us to continue these efforts.
Please review the sponsorship opportunities and complete the sponsorship sign-up form along with your kind donation. Please plan to purchase tickets or make a sponsorship contribution. If you’re unable to attend and would like to support our effort, we invite you to make an online donation.
